This material is part of a system which is the only one to have both full British Board of Agrement Approval AND Local Authority Building Control Approval on a national basis (LABC National Type Approval).
Thermal Dry Wall membrane has been specifically developed to combine the benefits of Astrofol Aluminium Reflective foil insulation and dimpled cavity wall membrane technology, with the express purpose of eliminating the condensation problems that can plague other non-insulated plastic membranes.
It not only avoids the condensation problem but keeps the basement warmer too. Many customers have commented that it keeps the rooms above warmer!
It is very light weight and much easier to use than the heavy HDPE membranes that are more commonplace. Being only 1.2m wide, very easy to cut and lightweight, and needing only 6mm dia 15mm long fixings at 1 meter centers it takes less than half of the time to fit as compared with the old-fashioned HDPE dimpled membranes (for example Delta and Newton) - which are heavier, more difficult to cut and fold and require a greater number of much larger fixings !
NOTE:- This product has recently been upgraded to a new version with larger thicker dimples and a smaller roll size, the price per m2 remains the same.
