This material is more technically advanced than a plain HDPE membrane, it is lightweight, easier to install, easier to join, and had integral thermal insulating properties which not only keep the basement and the rooms above warmer but eliminate the risk of condensation occurring on a cold 'all plastic membrane.
Thermal Dry wall floor membrane was developed by Ray Foulkes, our managing director and MD of Basement Systems Uk Ltd. and author of the design guide Waterproofing Existing Basements which is published by the British Structural Waterproofing Association and a founding document for the new British Standard BS8110 Protecting structures below ground against water.
It is the ONLY membrane of its kind to have full BBA certification AND LABC National Type Approval.
