The Triplesafe is the most sophisticated pumping system in its class.
Configured with the full compliment of two mains pumps and a battery back up system it offers the most comprehensive protection against flooding. One of the mains pumps is situated slightly lower than the other so it is the primary pump in all normal circumstances. If this pump fails to cope for any reason other than a power cut the next pump to take over is another powerful mains pump. In the event of both mains pumps failing, e.g. in a power-outage than the reliable battery back up system takes over, affording protection in all circumstances.
In basements where flooding is not considered to be a risk or where the homeowner is prepared to take on board that risk the liner may be installed on its own as a soak-away providing a drainage outlet for any cavity drainage system.
The liner is 600mm deep 450mm wide and 800 long (max) and is shaped in a double barreled configuration each barrel designed to take one mains pump whilst the figure of eight shape reduces the amount of excavation that would be required for a circular sump liner able to take all three pumps.
With the options that are on offer here, you can configure your own sump and pump system starting with the Triplesafe liner and lid with alarm (red lid mounted alarm as shown or grey corded alarm -optional). You can add your own pumps or select from any of the configurations on offer from a single mains pump to a full three pump system.
The battery back up system includes an 88 amp-hour standby battery which will pump up to 8,000 gallons on a single charge. A second battery with a switcher unit control system may be added for double battery protection. The battery charger includes a second, audible alarm. You should only select the second battery option if you are already buying the battery back up system!
For guidance, if cost is paramount and there is very low perceived risk of flooding and the consequences of a flood are minimal a liner used as a soak-away or a single mains pump would be relevant. If basic flood protection is required at least a single mains pump is necessary. If the basement is to contain finishes or items that would be damaged in a flood, joinery, plasterboard, carpets etc at least one main and one battery back up pump should be included. For the highest level of protection where the consequences of a flood would be very expensive the three pump configuration should be selected - hope this helps!
Pumps can be added at any time in the future too!
