We do not make spurious claims that our product is equivalent to 200mm of mineral wool. The national physics laboratory state that a foil layer can be regarded to be the equivalent of 60mm, although actual results can vary depending upon mode of installation and external climatic conditions. Couple this with 40mm of foam and you can figure the results yourself.
We sell our material honestly and at an honest price - about half of what you will pay for Actis Tri-iso super on many web-sites.
Astro -Multilayer combines the reflective qualities of Pure Aluminium foil coupled with the thermal resistance of Polyester foam - the safe alternative to glass fiber.
The foil reflects radiant heat and the Polyester foam protects against conducted heat loss.

The foam is flexible to it can be attached to the underside of rafters with battens ready to take plasterboard, an airspace of at least 20mm should always be provided between the foil layer and any dense material such as plasterboard timber or masonry.
We have often been asked how this product compare with other 'multilayer insulation materials, particularly those containing multiple layers of foil.
Our foil layer is 99% pure polished Aluminium which reflects 97% of radiant heat, so no other layer of foil is necessary. Be aware of semi-translucent multifoils where the first layer only reflects 505 of radiant heat making further reflective layers necessary, these are usually anodised layers of plastic rather than tre pure Aluminim foil.
